First days

First day of class.

I'm sitting in the hall of my college. It's shaped into a wide indoor courtyard. So far it's pretty quiet, apart from a small crowd chattering in a corner. They seem to all be quite aquainted with each other and are sharing personal anecdotes of this summer.

I have a cup of Java and I'm sitting on a bench in a corner and all I can say is that it feels a little triumphant. I'm in the place I thought I would never be. It took me a good three years to get here ( first I had to live in this state for a year to get residency and avoid out of state fees; then I had to take 27 credits at a community college).

Now the operation is set in motion. This is it. I have to give it my all and go in with everything I've got. I can't hezitate ever for a second! I can't procrastinate.
